Description.

The H&K MP5A4 RIS Full Metal AEG Rifle with Eshooter ETU GEN-2 in Black, model CM041B, is a nice meeting point between the traditional fixed-stock MP5 and a modern CQB setup. Made by Cyma under official Umarex and Heckler & Koch licence, this Rifle retains the familiar A4 profile while adding an aluminium RIS handguard and Eshooter ETU Gen-2 electronics. You still get that unmistakable MP5 character, just without being tied to decades-old airsoft internals.

As an electric rifle, the CM041B is particularly well suited to players who like the compact dimensions of a submachine gun but prefer the stability of a full fixed stock. Unlike the sliding or folding stocks fitted to other MP5 variants, the A4 stock gives you a consistent shoulder position every time you bring the airsoft gun up. It also provides considerably more room for a battery, which is always welcome on an Airsoft AEG.

Starting at the muzzle, there's the recognisable MP5 3-lug flash hider arrangement. Beneath it are standard 14mm CCW barrel threads, so compatible tracer units and mock suppressors can be fitted without resorting to some obscure proprietary adapter. For CQB, a tracer unit is an obvious pairing, especially if you spend your evenings sending glowing BBs down dimly lit corridors.

Immediately behind the muzzle is the aluminium tri-rail RIS handguard. This gives you 20mm Picatinny mounting space for accessories such as tactical lights, laser units and vertical foregrips. It's a more traditional tactical setup than the slimmer M-LOK systems found on newer designs, but Picatinny remains extremely practical. Accessories bolt straight on, there's no separate rail section to buy, and you can reposition them easily as your loadout changes.

The receiver and cocking tube are metal, giving the CM041B the reassuring weight you'd expect from a full-metal MP5 replica. The lower receiver and pistol grip section use durable polymer. That's appropriate for the MP5 platform and avoids adding metal purely for the sake of saying everything is metal. Authentic H&K markings complete the exterior and give this BB Gun the proper licensed appearance rather than the anonymous look of many generic MP5 replicas.

At the rear is the solid A4-style stock. It's less compact than a retractable stock, obviously, but the trade-off is excellent shoulder stability and plenty of internal battery room. If you're playing longer woodland games as well as indoor CQB, that extra space can be genuinely useful. There's no fiddling around trying to squeeze a battery into a tiny compartment before chrono. Slide it into the stock, connect up and you're away.

The biggest upgrade is hidden inside. Cyma has equipped the CM041B with an Eshooter ETU Gen-2 Electronic Trigger Unit rather than relying on conventional mechanical trigger contacts. The electronic system provides a much sharper trigger response and complete cycle control, while also removing the electrical arcing associated with traditional mechanical contacts. For players regularly using semi-auto, it's a meaningful improvement rather than another specification-box exercise.

Programmable firing modes are part of the package, including 3-round burst configurations. The ETU also provides electronic pre-cocking, which can prepare the gearbox for the next shot and reduce the delay between pressing the trigger and firing. Active braking helps stop motor over-spin and promotes cleaner gearbox cycling, while low-voltage battery protection is designed to help prevent a LiPo pack from being drained too far during a game.

Those electronics are paired with Cyma's reinforced Version 2 gearbox setup, using steel gears, metal bushings and a high-torque motor. That makes sense for a CQB-focused airsoft rifle where crisp semi-auto cycling is often more important than simply chasing a huge full-auto rate of fire. You get the familiar V2 architecture that airsoft technicians know well, but with electronic control bringing the trigger system up to date.

Magazine compatibility is reassuringly straightforward. The CM041B works with standard Tokyo Marui-spec MP5 AEG magazines, including mid-cap, high-cap and straight-stick designs. If you've already got an MP5 setup, there's a good chance your existing compatible magazines can move straight across rather than forcing you to rebuild your loadout around another magazine format.

The CM041B makes a lot of sense if you want an MP5 that still looks and shoulders like the classic A4 but offers the accessory mounting and electronic features expected from a newer skirmish gun. The fixed stock won't be everyone's choice for extremely tight indoor sites, but it gives this model excellent stability and useful battery space. Add the metal receiver, RIS handguard and programmable ETU and you've got a traditional-looking MP5 with considerably more going on under the surface.
