Description.

The H&K MP5 RIS Full Metal AEG Rifle with Eshooter ETU GEN-2 in Black, model CM041H, takes one of airsoft's most recognisable SMG platforms and gives it a thoroughly modern internal and external setup. This officially licensed Umarex/H&K model is produced in collaboration with Cyma, so you get the familiar MP5 shape, stamped authentic trademarks and the proven CM041 platform underneath. For players wanting a compact Rifle for CQB, this is a much more sophisticated proposition than a basic entry-level airsoft gun or BB Gun.

Externally, the CM041H keeps the solid feel that has made Cyma's metal MP5 series so well regarded. The upper receiver and cocking tube assembly are metal, while the lower grip frame uses impact-resistant polymer, much like you would expect from the MP5 layout. Up front, the traditional handguard has made way for an aluminium RIS system. That gives this electric rifle useful Picatinny mounting space for a torch, laser or vertical grip without turning the front end into an awkward collection of adapters.

The stock is equally well suited to close-range play. Rather than a fixed MP5 stock, the CM041H uses a retractable PDW-style unit running on steel rails. Collapse it and the gun becomes noticeably easier to manoeuvre around door frames, barricades and tight corners. Extend it when you need a steadier shoulder position. It's a simple arrangement, but on a CQB airsoft rifle those few inches make a genuine difference. Anyone who has tried getting a long rifle through a cramped doorway will know the feeling.

The really interesting part, though, sits inside. Cyma's reinforced Version 2 gearbox is paired with an Eshooter ETU Gen-2 electronic trigger unit rather than an old-style mechanical trigger trolley. The electronic setup gives the Airsoft AEG a much sharper trigger response and provides complete cycle detection. In practical terms, semi-auto feels more immediate, which is particularly useful at indoor sites where semi-only rules are common.

The ETU also adds programmable firing options, including 3-round burst configurations, alongside active braking and electronic pre-cocking. Active braking helps control motor over-spin after each cycle, while pre-cocking leaves the gearbox ready to release the next shot with less delay when you touch the trigger. There's also low-voltage battery protection for LiPo packs. These aren't gimmicks bolted onto the spec sheet; they're useful electronic features, especially for an airsofter who spends a lot of time firing controlled semi-auto shots.

Backing that electronics package is a reinforced gearbox setup with high-speed steel gears, steel bushings and a high-torque neodymium motor. It's a sensible combination for a compact electric submachine gun platform where responsive cycling matters more than simply making noise at silly rates of fire. The result is an MP5 that retains the mechanical familiarity of a Version 2 AEG while gaining the trigger behaviour expected from a more modern electronic build.

Move to the muzzle and you'll find the classic MP5 3-lug flash hider arrangement. Underneath are standard 14mm CCW threads, opening up plenty of options for compatible tracer units, mock suppressors and barrel extensions. For indoor evening games, being able to screw on a tracer without hunting down an unusual thread adaptor is a definite plus.

Magazine compatibility is similarly straightforward. The CM041H accepts standard Tokyo Marui-spec MP5 AEG magazines, including mid-cap, high-cap and straight-stick styles. That matters if you already own an MP5 loadout, because you shouldn't need to replace an entire pouch full of magazines just to move onto this model.

Overall, the CM041H makes sense for someone who likes the character and handling of the H&K MP5 but doesn't want internals stuck in the past. You still get that unmistakable stamped-metal MP5 feel and compact profile, only now there's a programmable ETU, modern RIS front end and adjustable PDW stock in the mix. Old-school silhouette outside. Much newer thinking inside.
