Description.

The H&K MP5 PDW Full Metal AEG Rifle with Eshooter ETU GEN-2 in Black, model CM041PDW, takes the already compact MP5 format and trims it down into a proper close-quarters package. Made by Cyma under official Umarex and Heckler & Koch licensing, this Rifle combines authentic H&K trademarks with a metal receiver, integrated front grip and folding skeleton stock. It's recognisably old-school MP5 PDW on the outside, but the electronic trigger and upgraded gearbox underneath bring the airsoft gun firmly up to date.

As an electric rifle intended for CQB, the CM041PDW's biggest advantage is simply how little space it takes up. Fold the stock alongside the receiver and you've got a very short Airsoft AEG for negotiating tight doorways, barricades and indoor structures. Swing the stock back out and it provides the shoulder support you want when engaging targets further down a corridor. No complicated adjustment system. Fold it when you need compactness, open it when you want stability.

Starting at the front, the CM041PDW uses the classic integrated vertical foregrip associated with the compact MP5 PDW layout. Rather than covering the gun in accessory rails, this setup gives your support hand a natural place to sit while keeping the front end extremely tidy. For players who prefer a straightforward CQB submachine gun rather than something covered in grips and rail panels, there's a lot to like here.

The muzzle retains another familiar MP5 feature: the signature 3-lug flash hider arrangement. Unscrewing it reveals standard 14mm CCW threading, allowing compatible tracer units, mock suppressors and barrel extensions to be fitted. A compact tracer is an especially useful addition for indoor games, and the common thread means you're not tied to some awkward proprietary muzzle fitting.

Moving rearwards, the upper receiver and cocking tube assembly are metal, while the lower grip frame is made from impact-resistant polymer. That gives the CM041PDW the solid weight and feel you'd expect from this style of MP5 without unnecessarily making every component metal. The authentic H&K markings are another welcome detail, particularly for an airsofter who wants their replica to look the part rather than simply resemble an MP5 from ten feet away.

The side-folding skeleton stock is one of the defining features of this particular model. It locks securely into its open position when you need a conventional shoulder-fired stance, then folds along the right side of the receiver when space gets tight. In a CQB environment that can make a genuine difference. A full-length stock suddenly feels enormous when you're trying to move around a narrow doorway without presenting half the gun before you can see the next room.

Inside, Cyma has moved well beyond the traditional mechanical MP5 trigger setup. The factory-installed Eshooter ETU Gen-2 electronic trigger unit provides immediate trigger response along with complete cycle detection. This is particularly useful on semi-auto-only sites, where the quality and consistency of each trigger pull matters far more than simply having a fast full-auto setting.

The ETU also gives you programmable firing options, including 3-round burst configurations. Electronic pre-cocking can prepare the gearbox for the next shot, reducing the delay between pulling the trigger and the BB leaving the barrel. Active braking controls motor over-spin at the end of the firing cycle, while built-in low-voltage protection is there to help prevent a LiPo battery from being drained below a safe level.

Backing up the electronics is Cyma's reinforced Version 2 gearbox shell, equipped with high-speed steel gears, steel bushings and a high-torque neodymium motor. It's a sensible setup for a compact airsoft submachine gun where crisp semi-auto cycling is particularly useful. You still have the familiar V2 gearbox architecture many airsoft technicians know well, just paired with a much more sophisticated trigger system than older MP5 AEGs.

Magazine compatibility hasn't been made complicated either. The CM041PDW accepts standard Tokyo Marui-spec MP5 AEG magazines, including mid-cap, high-cap and straight-stick designs. If you've already got an MP5 loadout, that's good news; your existing compatible magazines don't have to be retired just because you've moved onto a newer electronic model.

The CM041PDW makes the most sense for an airsofter who wants a genuinely compact MP5 rather than simply a shortened M4. The folding stock and vertical foregrip give it its distinctive PDW handling, while the Eshooter ETU Gen-2, reinforced gearbox and modern motor mean the internals haven't been left living in the past. Compact enough for tight indoor work, but still substantial enough to feel like a proper full-metal MP5. A neat combination.
