For much of the early history of the slingshot they were composed of a simple Y-shaped stick. with some form of "sling" held between the prongs - the shot would consist of anything from metal balls to bits of rocks or stones.  Nowadays even a cheap, simple slingshot can make an incredibly effective hunting tool in the arms of a skilled user - they can be deadly powerful and surprisingly pinpoint accurate. In the past slingshots have actually been used as a military weapon by insurgent forces, prior to the Iraq war Saddam Hussein released a propaganda video demonstrating how to use a slingshot as a guerrilla-tactics weapon for use against the Allied US/UK forces. We also sell replacement bands should yours snap, and a range of "BB" style slingshot ammunition - Please do not try to shoot slingshot ammo from a BB gun, it will not work and not only will you break your gun, we WILL NOT refund/replace it.
