DESCRIPTION:
Another of our TM weapons, this time based on the world renowned Desert Eagle .50
Originating in the USA and designed by Magnum Research, produced in Israel until
1995 - it is now produced in the USA under licence, by IMI. The Desert Eagle pistol
has been featured in over 500 films to date, and has become increasingly popular
due to its appearance in a number of video games giving it the status it holds today.
The Desert Eagle is NOT a conventional pistol - it uses the gas operated system
found in rifles rather than the short recoil system found in most pistols, internally
the weapon's bolt is almost identical to that of an M16! Generally speaking there is
only one real reason for this system being used on a pistol; that is, to allow it to fire
much more powerful ammunition than most semi automatic pistols can fire - naturally
this makes the pistol much larger than any other weapon but it does allow it to compete
in a market typically dominated by the .44 Magnum Revolver.
As is a well known fact, TM guns are plastic - but as with the TM Glock we sell, this is NOT
at all a disadvantage - Plastic slides are more economical and will allow you to use less gas
per shot (Which you WILL need - this pistol has incredible recoil, as such, it uses gas fast!)
The body is of a fantastic quality and is made to the same great standard that we have come
to expect from TM; It has no wobble or compressibility and feel secure in the hand, which is
what you want from such a large framed weapon; As you might expect, the longer inner barrel
allows for some VERY accurate shots at range adding to the practicality value of this pistol, it
will easily make a headshot at ranges of 40 metres making it perfect for woodland sites!
There is no reason why this could not be used as a backup weapon in a skirmish however
finding a suitable holster may be a tad tricky!
This is easily one of the hardest kicking green gas pistols currently on the market, if not THE
hardest kicking making it an immense deal of fun to shoot with, it is also an incredibly
intimidating weapon to pull out and will certainly turn a few heads when shooting!
