The Specna Arms SA-B04 carbine was mostly made of zinc-aluminum alloy. Steel was used in the replica's most important parts, like the screws, pins, and tactical sling mount. A polymer material is used to make the pistol grip and the SF type stock, which is where the battery is kept. The anodizing method was used on both the replica's body and its RIS rail assembly. This gives the replica a high level of protection against corrosion. After the surface was sandblasted, the painting of the copy was done with a powder finishing method. This makes sure that the paint has a much higher than normal resistance to wear.

The replica fits perfectly, which is something that you could only see before on guns made by the G&P or Classic Army class. It is also perfectly balanced. This makes it almost impossible to move the replica, and its weight is also almost impossible to feel when you put it on your shoulder.

The replica has a method for quick spring change, which is called Enter & Convert TM. As a result of laws in Europe that limit the replica's firing speed and the way things are set up in the environments, this method gives the user a lot of choices and freedom. The Enter & ConvertTM system lets you quickly change the mainspring and adjust the replica's exit velocity to the playing area. This means that you can find the best balance between how well the gun works and your safety and the safety of other players.

It has been fully changed so that it can work with LiPo and LiFe batteries. The mainspring that comes with the replica guarantees a base initial firing speed of about 410 FPS, making it perfect for medium-range operations. There is also an M90-type spring included, which lowers the starting speed to about 310 FPS. This makes the replica perfect for short-range or indoor use.

The gearbox is strengthened at the cylinder head's height and hides a steel spring guide that is part of the Enter & ConvertTM system. It is fixed on 8mm ball bearings and steel gears with washers. Four anti-reverse pawls keep the system safe. It also has a steel cut-off handle and a type 2 cylinder. The replica comes with a precise, rotating polymer Hop-Up chamber that makes it possible to change the BB overclocking system in a very stable way.

Upgraded version has a number of new, reinforced parts such as:

- a set of reinforced steel gears
- a steel spring guide
- a lightweight polymer piston
- a sealed aluminium piston head
- a sealed metal cylinder head
- a sealed metal nozzle

The Upgraded version is fitted with a 22mm dorsal RIS rail, a set of front RIS rails and an adjustable buttstock. Metal flip-up sights have been fitted on the upper RIS rail, but these can be freely replaced by any optoelectronic sighting device. Thanks to the sliding buttstock finished with an anti-slip textured footplate, it is possible to adjust the length of the replica to the shooter's build and preferences. The standard flame suppressor is mounted on a 14-mm left-hand thread, which makes it possible to attach a sound suppressor in its place.

To increase the realism of the gameplay, the replica is also equipped with a functional breech release.

The replica also comes with a steel hi-cap magazine that holds 300 rounds.
