Description.
The LCT MRK-105 AEG Airsoft Rifle in black takes the unmistakable AK platform and trims it down into a tougher, more compact package. If you like the solid feel of a full-sized Rifle but want something easier to move with in woodland trails or tighter CQB environments, this one hits a very sweet spot.
This is an AK105 replica through and through. Shorter barrel. Folding stock. Chunky front end. And that dense, reassuring steel build LCT are known for. Pick it up and the 3.3kg weight tells you straight away—this isn’t a lightweight toy. The receiver is full steel. Not alloy dressed up to look convincing. Proper steel. The barrel assembly, flash hider, and sights follow suit, giving the whole airsoft gun a no-nonsense feel.
Overall length sits at 865mm with the stock extended, dropping to 805mm when folded. That folding stock makes a real difference when you’re moving through dense woodland or slipping in and out of vehicles during milsim scenarios. Fold it in, keep things tight, then snap it back out when you need that shoulder stability. Simple. Effective.
The forend, pistol grip, and sliding stock sections are ABS, which keeps the balance right. Steel up front can make a rifle nose-heavy if everything is metal, so the polymer furniture keeps fatigue down during long game days. It feels solid in the hands, not flimsy. Grip texture gives decent control even when you’re wearing gloves.
Inside, this Airsoft AEG runs a Version 3 gearbox with 9mm bearings. The V3 platform is tried and tested in AK builds for good reason. It handles stress well and has strong aftermarket support if you ever fancy upgrades. Out of the box, it’s paired with a 22000rpm short-type motor, delivering smooth cycling on both semi and full auto.
One feature I genuinely appreciate is the quick detach spring system. Being able to adjust power without completely tearing down the gearbox is a big plus, especially if you play at multiple sites with different FPS limits. It makes the rifle far more adaptable. Less time on the workbench. More time actually playing.
The inner barrel measures 365mm and is made from brass, with a 6.05mm inner diameter. That length gives you a nice compromise between range and manoeuvrability. You’re not sacrificing too much accuracy compared to a full-length AK, but you gain handling speed. Pair that with the rotary hop-up unit and you can fine-tune your BB flight with more consistency than older slider-style systems. Once set, it stays put.
Speaking of BB flight, this airsoft rifle uses 6mm BBs and feeds from a 130 round magazine. Mid-cap style. No winding. No annoying rattle. Just load, insert, and go. It keeps the experience immersive and reliable.
At the muzzle, you’ve got a 24mm clockwise thread. That’s classic AK territory. If you’re planning to fit a suppressor or tracer, you may need the appropriate adapter depending on your setup, but the thread itself is solid and well-machined. The front sight block and gas assembly are steel, keeping that authentic AK silhouette intact.
Wiring runs to the front, with the battery stored under the top cover. It’s designed for stick-type batteries. LCT recommend 7.4V 20C Li-Polymer for setups under 362FPS (110m/s) and 11.1V 20C for higher power builds, always within local regulations. The wiring is 18AWG, which handles current flow well and supports Li-Po use confidently. Just remember, battery and charger are not included.
Internally, there’s some reassuring detail. Brass cylinder with chrome-plated surface. CNC aluminium cylinder head. Nylon fibre piston head. Polycarbonate piston with steel teeth. Steel ball bearing spring guide. These aren’t flashy marketing bullet points—they’re the parts that keep your airsoft gun running consistently when you’re hammering semi-auto shots downrange.
There’s no blowback system here, and honestly, that’s a good thing. Less moving mass means better longevity and fewer points of failure. It’s built for reliability, not gimmicks.
The fire selector gives you semi and full auto modes, exactly where you expect them on an AK platform. The selector movement feels mechanical and deliberate. On semi, it’s crisp and consistent. On full auto, it cycles smoothly without sounding strained.
In use, the MRK-105 feels lively. Shorter than a traditional AK47-style build, but still stable when shouldered. It transitions between targets quickly. In woodland, it threads through trees without constantly catching branches. Indoors, it doesn’t feel like you’re swinging a fence post around corners. Compact, but not cramped.
As a modern warfare era electric assault rifle, it fits a wide range of loadouts. Russian-inspired kits. Contractor builds. Even a rugged PMC setup. The all-black finish keeps it clean and understated.
This is very much a serious BB Gun for experienced airsofters who appreciate realism. It’s not flashy. It’s not lightweight. It’s steel, gears, and solid engineering. If you want something that feels authentic every time you pick it up, the MRK-105 delivers that in spades.
