Description.

The JT Proflex LE ICE Birthstone - Emerald is part of JT's limited-production Birthstone ICE Goggle Series, taking the familiar Proflex platform and giving it a vivid Emerald-inspired treatment. Beneath the special-edition looks is a mask that's earned a serious following for comfort and breathability. The soft, flexible Proflex frame conforms naturally around the face and avoids much of the rigid feel associated with hard-shell full-face protection. For an airsofter, that makes it particularly agreeable during long woodland skirmishes, warm summer game days and frantic CQB sessions where heat and restricted airflow can quickly become tiresome.

Visibility comes courtesy of JT's dual-pane Spectra lens, which uses a thermal two-layer construction to help combat condensation while maintaining a clear, broad view of the field. Thermal lenses are generally favoured for active airsoft use because the insulating gap between the lens layers helps reduce the conditions that cause fogging. Of course, no passive lens is invincible – humidity, temperature, sweat and airflow all play their part – but pairing a thermal lens with the Proflex's generous ventilation makes for a well-proven combination. That open ventilation also helps with communication, allowing your voice to escape more naturally when calling hits or shouting instructions to teammates.

The Emerald Birthstone Proflex should appeal equally to regular players and collectors. Its flexible lower section allows more natural jaw movement than many solid masks, while the lightweight, breathable construction makes it easy to wear over extended periods. When aiming an airsoft gun fitted with a low-mounted red dot or scope, any full-face mask can alter your cheek weld – how your cheek meets the stock – so an optic riser can sometimes provide a more comfortable sight picture.
