The G&G ARP9 1500R Manual Drum Magazine is made for ARP9 players who would rather carry one enormous ammunition supply than keep reaching for another magazine. Designed specifically around the G&G Armament ARP9 AEG, this high-capacity drum holds up to 1500 6mm airsoft BBs, giving you substantially more ammunition than a conventional mid-cap or standard ARP9 hi-cap. That makes it particularly useful for aggressive CQB play, longer games and support-style roles where sustained fire can help pin the opposing team while your mates move. It does add more bulk than a normal stick magazine, naturally, but that's the trade-off for having a small mountain of BBs sitting underneath your airsoft gun.

Operation is pleasingly simple and completely manual. Open the large rear filling window, pour your BBs into the reservoir and firmly close the locking cover. The oversized front winding wheel is then rotated in the marked direction to tension the internal spring, which feeds ammunition up through the magazine and into the ARP9. Because there's no electric winding motor or battery to worry about, there's very little fuss involved. Give the wheel another wind when feeding begins to slow and carry on. The fill cover can feel fairly firm, but once shut it helps prevent an unfortunate avalanche of BBs during a hurried reload.

The drum's outer body is manufactured from durable polymer and reinforced with metal fittings, keeping it robust without introducing unnecessary weight from an all-metal shell. Its chunky shape also gives plenty to grab during magazine changes, although with 1500 rounds available you may find yourself doing rather fewer of those. Another useful point is the relatively straightforward internal design, which allows the magazine to be stripped and rebuilt if you ever need to clear contamination or a troublesome BB from the feeding mechanism.

There will always be airsofters who prefer mid-cap magazines for quieter movement and more realistic ammunition management, but that's not really what this ARP9 drum is about. It's aimed at players who prioritise high ammunition capacity and sustained AEG fire. For CQB games with plenty of suppressive shooting, defensive positions or longer skirmishes where repeated reloads become tiresome, having 1500 rounds immediately available can be extremely handy.
