Description.

The G&G Armament GR16 Series AEG Drum Magazine is a high-capacity magazine designed for compatible GR16 Series airsoft guns, packing an impressive 2300-round capacity into a drum-style body. That's a substantial jump over conventional Mid-Cap and High-Cap magazines, making this a useful option for players who favour sustained fire, longer woodland games or a support-gunner style of play. Instead of repeatedly reaching for fresh magazines during a drawn-out engagement, you've got a considerable reserve of 6mm BBs immediately available. It's certainly less realistic than running 30-round magazines, and milsim purists may prefer lower capacities, but for ordinary skirmishing the sheer convenience is difficult to ignore.

The drum is manufactured from polymer, which makes sense on a magazine this size as it helps avoid adding unnecessary weight to your airsoft gun once the reservoir is loaded with BBs. Its black finish is understated and works neatly with most GR16 and AR-style loadouts. A 2300-round drum really comes into its own during defensive games, prolonged woodland firefights and scenarios where keeping opponents pinned can be more useful than performing constant magazine changes. It's also an interesting way of giving a conventional GR16 AEG more of a light-support flavour without changing the entire replica.

As with any high-capacity airsoft magazine, compatibility and feeding should always be considered alongside headline capacity; hop setup, BB quality and the individual airsoft gun can all influence real-world performance. For players who prefer lightweight Mid-Caps and frequent tactical reloads, a drum probably isn't the right direction. For the airsofter who wants a massive ammunition reserve and fewer interruptions during high-volume games, however, this G&G GR16 2300-round drum magazine provides a purpose-made solution with enough capacity to keep you involved when the firefight gets properly noisy.
