Description.

The E-Shooter Flare Mono Tracer Unit V800 is a remarkably compact airsoft tracer designed for night games, dark indoor CQB sites and anyone who enjoys seeing a stream of illuminated BBs disappear down a corridor. At only 54mm long, 28mm wide and approximately 45g, it adds very little bulk to the front of an airsoft gun, making it particularly appealing on short SMGs and pistols where an oversized tracer can look and feel decidedly clumsy. Four high-efficiency LED lamp beads illuminate compatible green and red tracer BBs, while the fast internal sensor is rated to keep up with setups firing at more than 50 rounds per second. That's considerably faster than the majority of skirmish AEGs will ever need, but it gives high-ROF builds plenty of headroom.

A physical button lets you switch between three operating modes: pure Tracer Mode, Flame Mode for a simulated muzzle-flash effect, or combined Tracer + Flame Mode. The flame effect is great fun in CQB and gives each shot a bit more visual theatre, although players trying to remain inconspicuous during a night game may quite reasonably favour tracer-only mode. Better still, there's no smartphone app to pair or fiddle with in the safe zone. The integrated 200mAh rechargeable lithium battery is rated for up to six hours of use or approximately 35,000 shots per charge, while a vibration-based Shake to Wake system puts the V800 into a low-power sleep state after around five minutes of inactivity and wakes it again when moved.

Compatibility is broad thanks to the standard 14mm CCW (counter-clockwise) muzzle thread used by a huge number of airsoft rifles and SMGs. E-Shooter also supplies a 14mm CCW to 11mm CW adapter, opening up compatibility with suitably threaded airsoft pistols. The CNC aluminium housing carries an IP64 rating, providing protection against dust ingress and splashing water – useful when a woodland evening turns damp, although IP64 should not be confused with being suitable for submersion. For the brightest and most obvious flight path, quality green tracer BBs remain the usual choice, while red tracer ammunition gives you another option when you fancy something a little different.
