SKIRMISH GRADE WEAPON (USES STANAG MAGAZINES)
DESCRIPTION:
The SCAR (Special Operations Forces Combat Assault Rifle) is a fully modular weapon designed by FN
Herstal for the USA, The SCAR comes in both the "L" and "H" Variants, with the L using STANAG magazines
(5.56x45mm NATO) and the H using a larger calibre (7.62x51mm NATO) - Both the L/H come in either
a long barrel setup, or a CQB setup - the rifle we have here is based off the L variant, with the CQB barrel.
DBOYS are well renowned for having absolutely fantastic quality externals on their rifles and as always, this
is no exception - the upper receiver is full metal, with full rails and sight assembly, while the lower receiver and
"Ugg Boot" stock are made from a fantastic quality polymer, the weapon feels incredibly sturdy when held and
is really not likely to develop any faults in the foreseeable future - as the layout of the fire selector/Mag catch
and the general appearance/feel of the trigger and pistol grip are so similar to that of an M4/16 anyone familiar
with those rifles would find it easy to adapt to using a SCAR (Your magazines may well be compatible too!)
This rifle, while a carbine, is more than suitable to any sized player - the stock is fully adjustable and features
a built in cheek riser should you need it, the large forward RIS section allows you to mount a grip in exactly the
right position for your hand, and as this features a 14mm CCW threaded barrel it means you can extend the
length of the outer/inner if you see fit!
This weapon is ideal for use in both field and CQB environments, as it has the range and accuracy to reach out
and make hits at medium range engagements, but is small enough to use indoors when moving around a fast
paced game - something that the longer version would not be so suited to.
