Description
This Soviet rifle, which had been feared for a very long time, made its debut in 1963 and was adopted for use by designated marksmen in the North Vietnamese Army (NVA) during the Vietnam War. This rifle has seen service in conflict zones all over the world, including Iraq, Nicaragua, Colombia, Afghanistan, and Syria, as well as other regions spread across Africa, the Middle East, and Central and South America.
The SVD has seen significant international circulation and is manufactured in a variety of countries, with or without a licence. It is still one of the types of sniper rifles that sees the most use in today's armed forces all over the world.
This Soviet semi-automatic sniper rifle has also made an appearance in a number of games from the Modern Warfare series, in addition to all of the games in the Call of Duty series.
The Kalashnikov system is utilised, albeit in a significantly altered form by the SVD. In contrast to the AK-47, the SVD only fires in semi-automatic mode and features a gas piston with a short stroke. The SVD is one of the more affordable military semi-automatic sniper rifles, in addition to being simple to manufacture. Handguards and stocks for the SVD were originally made of wood, but as of the 1990s, polymer alternatives have also been made available. The 4x24 PSO-1 scope that comes standard on the SVD can alternatively be replaced with the NSPU-3 night sight, which is also available as an option. The PSO-1 4x24 scope is very effective, particularly in regard to its reticule, which provides the sniper with the ability to precisely estimate the distance between targets.
The CM057A is the name of the Airsot SVD that is manufactured by CYMA and is known for its high level of quality. Along with polymer and steel, enriched aluminium was one of the materials incorporated into the manufacturing process. The outer barrel, the front sight mount, the flash hider, and the main body were all constructed out of aluminium, whereas the ejection cover, magazine, butt plate, and many small elements (including the fire selector) were constructed out of steel. Black polymer was used in the construction of both the handguard and the stock. Additionally, the stock comes equipped with a soft cheek pad for added comfort.
The exterior has an appearance that is characteristic of Soviet weaponry; it is unfinished and the wood components have been aged to give the impression that they are much more mature than they actually are. The mount for the optical scope was added to the body, which made it possible to use the replica of the PSO-1 scope that was designed specifically for this model. (NOT INC)
The replica is outfitted with a specialised gearbox that is based on the Real-Sword and contains reinforced parts that allow for the installation of a more powerful M120 spring and, as a result of the airtight design, generates a muzzle velocity of approximately 350 feet per second (FPS). The replica is now ready for power tuning after being outfitted with steel sprockets, a reinforced piston with two steel teeth, a reinforced piston head, and a spring pipe with bearings.
The replica also includes a metal Hop-Up chamber that is modelled after the one used in the RS test model. The airtight design and excellent performance of the Hop-Up unit made it possible for the weapon to have a high rate of fire and precision, both of which were further improved by the utilisation of a 690mm long inner barrel.
