DESCRIPTION
The m14 rifle was a replacement system for the M1 Garand used by the United States Army. The rifle was made in 1957 to present day. The system has been modified to be used in modern theatres across the world as a marksman's rifle with the use of using modern materials and picatinny rails. The rifle is chambered in 7.62 NATO round. This gives it an excellent range and power and is why it is still used today. The rifle is magazine fed from the underside.
This m14 has had a custom paintjob to make it unique and exciting. Nicknamed the Silver Bullet due to its striking paint job this rifle is sure to stan out against any other rifle in the field and on the market. The rifle is split in to two pieces the upper and lower and receiver and is made of plastic and metal construction.
The lower receiver is made of high-grade polymer that stretches from the stock to the barrel. The stock is a based off the original M14 stock which houses the battery for the rifle. The grip is a full flow through and is integrated into the stock. The butt stock of the rifle is made pf metal and has 2 parts, the outer part is textured to give a reliable shouldering and comfortable grip. This section can then be lifted to act as an over should rest to maximise comfort. Under this there is the plate that can be opened to insert the battery which is also textured to allow it to be used even when the cover is up. There is a fixed sling point on the bottom of the stock to attach a sling and make the rifle much easier to carry for long periods. The grip is textured to give a non-slip grip and maximise the comfort and the handling of the gun. The lower receiver then stretches through to the magazine well and trigger group. There is a textured grip on the front of the rifle that is incorporated into the lower receiver that is a textured side to give a comfortable non-slip grip. There is a sling point that matches the one on the stock.
The upper receiver is metal and is machined very well to make the rifle look and feel very authentic. It is styled the same as the original m14 rifle and features many well replicated parts and controls. The rifle has adjustable sights that consist of a rear eyelet sight that can be adjusted for windage using the dials either side of the sight. Bellow this there is the fire selector that can be used to change between fully and semi-automatic fire. On the left side of the rifle there is a bold lock which holds the bolt open when repressed. This is a great feature that was the same as that of the real steel rifle. The charging handle can be pulled the rear and has its famous roll when the cover is opened. This adds an excellent amount of realism to the excellent experience that this rifle brings. The trigger guard and trigger are metal and has an excellent feel and a comfortable pull on it. Integrated into the trigger guard is the safety for the rifle. This safety is a trigger lock safety that sill allows the user to charge the rifle but not be able to pull the trigger. There is an upper dust cover plate that protects the barrel. The barrel is the made of metal and has a mock gas block and that is modelled to look the same as the real steel rifle. The front sight is a pin that can be lined up with the rear eyelet and gives a good sight window to allow for an accurate shot every time. Below the sight is a bayonet lug that locks a bayonet on the rifle and secures it to the rifle. The flash hider is an excellent replica of the reel steal counterpart.
