Black Metalwork, Gold Controls and a Matching Vented Compensator - Classic 1911 Handling With a Proper Competition-Inspired Twist!

Description.

The Vorsk VP-X Match Gold GBB Airsoft Pistol in Black and Gold takes the familiar 1911 platform and gives it a rather smart makeover. The black metal slide and frame provide a classic foundation, while the gold controls and matching gold barrel extension bring a distinctly competition-inspired appearance. It's an eye-catching combination without being overcomplicated. Underneath those contrasting colours, this airsoft pistol offers realistic gas blowback action, full-metal construction and a 6.03mm tightbore inner barrel.

VORSK has based the VP-X Match around the established 1911/MEU layout, keeping the slim grip, familiar controls and traditional handling characteristics that make this style of BB Gun so popular. The difference is in the details. From the gold compensator at the front to the textured black grip at the rear, there's plenty to appreciate as you work your way along the pistol.

Gold Vented Compensator and Extended 1911 Styling

Starting at the muzzle, the first thing you'll notice is the gold barrel extension. This distinctive VORSK compensator features three vent ports and gives the VP-X Match its longer, competition-style profile.

The gold finish contrasts nicely against the black slide, making the front end stand out without needing an oversized attachment. It also complements the gold controls further back, tying the colour scheme together.

The compensator is removable using the supplied Allen key, so you're not permanently committed to the extended appearance. Bear in mind that the attachment is primarily a styling feature on this airsoft replica; it shouldn't be confused with an accuracy upgrade.

With the compensator fitted, the pistol measures approximately 260mm overall. That's longer than a compact sidearm, so it's worth checking holster compatibility before buying. Some standard 1911 holsters may not accommodate the extended muzzle.

CNC Aluminium Slide and Frame

Moving back from the gold compensator, the VP-X Match features a CNC-finished aluminium alloy slide. The black finish gives it a purposeful appearance, while the machined slide serrations provide a secure gripping surface when manually cycling the action.

The aluminium alloy frame adds to the pistol's substantial feel. At approximately 785g, the VP-X has enough weight to feel convincing in the hand without becoming unnecessarily heavy for a skirmish sidearm.

VORSK uses a hydrostatic paint finish on the external metalwork, with the black body providing a smart contrast against the gold components. The matching gold controls are particularly effective here. Rather than looking like random aftermarket additions, they form part of a coordinated black-and-gold design.

The VP-X Match retains the recognisable proportions of a modern 1911, including the slim frame and exposed hammer arrangement. If you've previously used a Hi-Capa, you'll notice the narrower grip immediately.

Black Stippled Grip and Functional Safety

The VP-X Match uses HIPS polymer grip panels with a high-stipple texture. These black panels provide a useful amount of traction, helping keep the pistol secure when wearing gloves or playing in damp conditions.

The narrower 1911-style grip can be particularly comfortable for players who find double-stack pistol grips a little chunky. It's a small difference on paper, but quite noticeable once the handgun is in your hand.

At the rear sits a functional beavertail grip safety. This requires positive engagement from your shooting hand before the pistol can fire. The slide-lock latch also allows the action to remain open, making inspection and handling more convenient.

The gold-coloured controls add another visual detail without changing the familiar 1911 control arrangement. If you're already comfortable using this style of handgun, there's very little to relearn.

Realistic Gas Blowback Performance

The Vorsk VP-X Match Gold operates using a semi-automatic gas blowback system. Every trigger pull cycles the metal slide backwards and forwards, producing the mechanical movement and kick that make GBB pistols so enjoyable.

VORSK quotes approximately 270 FPS using V6 gas and 290 FPS using V8 gas, measured with 0.20g BBs at 20°C. Actual velocity will vary with temperature, gas pressure and operating conditions, so always check your skirmish site's power limits.

The trigger offers a crisp, repeatable action suited to controlled follow-up shots. Combined with the textured grip and substantial metal construction, the VP-X has a reassuring feel during firing.

Inside, VORSK uses steel, brass and aluminium alloy components, alongside polymer feed lips and nozzles. It's a sensible selection of materials for a gas blowback platform that will need occasional cleaning and maintenance.

6.03mm Tightbore Barrel and Adjustable Hop-Up

Inside the VP-X Match sits a 112mm long, 6.03mm tightbore inner barrel. This narrower bore is designed to support consistent BB travel, helping produce more predictable shot groupings with suitable ammunition.

The adjustable hop-up lets you fine-tune the backspin applied to each BB. Get the setting right for your chosen BB weight and you'll benefit from a flatter trajectory and more consistent performance over distance.

For aiming, the VP-X Match uses straightforward post-and-notch iron sights. There's no complicated optical system to worry about, just a familiar sight picture that works well for regular pistol skirmishing.

A little time spent adjusting the hop-up and testing your ammunition is worthwhile. Even a good airsoft handgun won't perform at its best if the BBs are climbing into the sky or dropping short.

Traditional Non-Railed Frame

Unlike many modern tactical handguns, the VP-X Match has a non-railed frame. There's no integrated 20mm accessory rail underneath the barrel, which helps preserve the clean lines of the 1911 design.

That does mean standard rail-mounted pistol torches and lasers cannot be attached directly. If those accessories are important to your loadout, it's worth considering before purchasing.

For players who prefer a straightforward handgun without additional equipment hanging underneath it, the clean frame and distinctive gold compensator make an attractive combination.

21-Round Gas Magazine and CO2 Options

The VP-X Match Gold comes with a standard 21-round MEU gas magazine. This keeps the traditional slim 1911 grip profile while providing a useful ammunition capacity for a secondary weapon.

The pistol is compatible with VORSK V6 and V8 GBB fuel. A CO2 nozzle is included to support conversion for compatible CO2 magazine use, although the CO2 magazine itself is sold separately.

VORSK also offers compatible 36-round extended magazines in gas and CO2 versions. These extend below the grip but provide additional ammunition for players who prefer fewer reloads.

Maintenance is another area where VORSK has thought ahead. The box includes a spare gas nozzle and O-ring set, along with the Allen key needed to remove the compensator. Gas blowback pistols benefit from regular cleaning, appropriate lubrication and occasional seal inspection, so those spare components are genuinely useful.

The VP-X is also listed as TM/WE compatible, although individual aftermarket parts should always be checked for fitment before purchasing.
