Description.

The Nuprol NP Optics 2-12x44 SF Rifle Scope is a versatile variable-magnification optic that gives an airsofter considerably more flexibility than a fixed-power scope. At 2x magnification you've got a wider sight picture that's useful when targets appear at relatively short distances, while winding up towards 12x provides a much closer look at distant targets, useful for spotting and observation during larger outdoor games. Sitting between the two is plenty of usable adjustment for typical woodland skirmishing. The 44mm objective lens offers a sensible compromise between light gathering and overall bulk, while the 30mm tube and aluminium alloy construction give the scope a sturdy feel without becoming an enormous lump on top of your airsoft gun.

The NP Optics uses a Second Focal Plane (SFP) wire reticule, meaning the reticule remains visually the same size as you change magnification. SFP versus first focal plane is a regular optics debate, but for airsoft, where ranges are comparatively short and most players aren't making complex ballistic calculations, SFP is often perfectly practical. The scope measures approximately 273mm long and weighs 525g, so it's best suited to DMR-style replicas, longer rifles and players who value magnification more than an ultra-light setup. Side-focus adjustment adds another useful degree of control, and the supplied handwheel extension makes adjustments easier when wearing gloves.

Nuprol has nitrogen filled the optic to help prevent internal fogging, and the scope is both fogproof and waterproof, useful when a dry morning turns into a soggy afternoon halfway through a woodland skirmish. Another particularly useful touch is the mounting package: both Picatinny rail mounts and Dovetail rail mounts are supplied, making the scope adaptable to a wider selection of platforms straight from the box. Protective lens caps, adjustment tools and a cleaning cloth are included too. For an airsofter building a DMR, sniper-style loadout or simply wanting a broad 2-12x magnification range for outdoor play, the NP Optics offers a well-rounded package without relying on unnecessary bells and whistles.
