Description.

The Nuprol Battle Visor THERMAL Black-Smoked is full-seal airsoft eye protection designed for players who regularly battle two familiar problems: fogging and bright outdoor glare. Its dual-pane thermal lens uses two lens layers separated by an insulating air gap, helping reduce the temperature difference that causes condensation to form on the inside of conventional goggles. No airsoft visor can promise completely fog-free performance in every combination of humidity, temperature and exertion, but thermal lenses can make a noticeable difference when you're sprinting between cover in full kit. The smoked lens also cuts down harsh glare and is particularly well suited to sunny woodland, outdoor CQB and open skirmish fields.

Protection is the important bit. The tough polycarbonate lens meets EN 166:2001 requirements and carries a B impact rating, covering protection against high-speed particles of less than 0.86 g travelling at up to 120 m/s. A flexible TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) full-rim frame and foam gasket create a complete seal around the eyes, while the adjustable elastic head strap keeps the 100 g visor secure when running, crouching or getting rather enthusiastically into a firefight with your airsoft gun. The flexible frame also plays nicely with many helmets and tactical headgear setups without feeling excessively cumbersome.

The smoked lens includes anti-scratch treatment and UV protection, making this version particularly appealing to outdoor airsofters who spend long days playing in strong daylight. Smoked lenses aren't the best choice for dark indoor sites or late-evening games, where a clear lens will generally give better visibility, so it's worth choosing your eye protection around the conditions you actually play in.
