A benefit of this helmet type is that lots of manufacturers are continually developing new add-ons to fit this platform of helmet systems as the US army uses them. when you compare the fast helmet to the m88 helmet it makes the m88 look a bit primitive; a fast helmet is a useful tool as much as it is head protection.

when you put the fast helmet on you will notice that it's extremely lightweight, there is also a Head-Loc Retention system on the market that will hold you head from tipping forward if you have heavy accessories like night vision attached to it.
