Description.

The Jag Precision x Taran Tactical International JW4 Pit Viper R614 is an officially licensed GBB Pistol modelled on the TTI Pit Viper seen in John Wick: Chapter 4. Made by Army Armament in cooperation with Jag Precision, this V2 version gets a glossy black DLC-style finish that gives the pistol its distinctive deep-black appearance. Movie connection aside, there's quite a bit going on mechanically here. This isn't simply a standard Hi-Capa wearing a fancy slide.

Starting at the muzzle, the Pit Viper uses an integral mock compensator with an 11mm thread for compatible barrel extensions or thread adapters. More interestingly, the 123mm inner barrel continues underneath the compensator. That gives you the barrel length of a larger airsoft pistol while retaining a relatively short moving slide. It's a clever arrangement. Less slide mass has to travel with each shot, helping the action feel quick and snappy and allowing fast follow-up shots.

The outer barrel uses a non-tilting design. On a conventional GBB setup, hanging extra weight from the muzzle can sometimes interfere with cycling because the barrel moves as part of the action. Here, the fixed arrangement is designed to keep cycling smooth when a suitable extension or adapter is fitted. The extended inner barrel also contributes to the Pit Viper's stated velocity and accuracy, with output listed at up to approximately 330 FPS. As always with a green gas airsoft gun, actual FPS can vary with gas, temperature, BB weight and setup.

Work backwards and you reach that unmistakable CNC machined aluminium slide, complete with TTI laser-engraved markings and Taran Tactical-style lightening cuts. Those cuts aren't there purely for decoration. Removing slide mass helps the blowback cycle faster and can reduce the amount of movement you feel through the pistol between shots. The result should appeal particularly to players who like a responsive Hi-Capa-style BB Gun for CQB, practical shooting or as a secondary where quick follow-up shots matter.

Sighting equipment is equally purposeful. Up front sits a fibre-optic sight, which gives your eye a bright reference point for quick target acquisition. At the rear is Taran's signature Ghost Profile shrouded adjustable sight. Combined with the pistol's adjustable hop-up system, you've got useful control over both the sight picture and BB flight rather than being stuck with a completely fixed setup.

The lower half continues the competition-inspired theme. The CNC machined aluminium frame is paired with a reinforced polymer grip featuring hand stippling for extra purchase. There's a generously flared magazine well at the base, making it easier to guide a magazine home when you're reloading in a hurry. It's the sort of feature that seems cosmetic until you've tried to reload while watching a doorway and somebody is enthusiastically peppering the wall next to you.

An integral accessory rail beneath the frame provides mounting space for a compatible tactical light. Overall length is approximately 9.5 inches, measured from the muzzle to the rear of the magwell, while overall height is around 6.5 inches from the top of the slide to the magwell without the magazine. Despite the flamboyant competition styling, the controls and grip layout remain familiar territory for anyone who's spent time with Hi-Capa-based pistol platforms.

The R614 is powered by green gas and uses a gas blowback action, so the slide cycles with every shot. Between the aluminium slide, lightening cuts and short-slide/compensator arrangement, the action is designed around a brisk cycling feel rather than simply producing lots of reciprocating weight. An adjustable hop-up lets you tune the backspin applied to the BB to suit your ammunition and preferred range.

For John Wick collectors, the official Taran Tactical Innovations licensing and recognisable JW4 appearance are obviously a big part of the attraction. For skirmishers, however, the more interesting details are underneath: a 123mm inner barrel, non-tilting outer barrel, adjustable hop, fibre-optic front sight, flared magwell and CNC aluminium components. In other words, there's substance behind the cinema styling.
