DESCRIPTION
This Galaxy G2 pistol is a mock a Colt M1911. It's made from a full metal Zinc alloy shell that adds to the realism of the weapon, the only parts being plastic are the black textured grips and some small internal parts.
The pistol This model comes in a factory sprayed blue and black finish, but we do also sell a red/black version also.
The gun is operated by pulling the slide which cocks the spring for a single shot. Spring system guns like this are very affordable to buy and to use ongoing as it requires no gas or batteries to operate, however, it is not skirmishable so if you looking for a pistol for an airsoft skirmish maybe check out our non-blowback gas pistols as they are the next step up in quality.
The pistol is not full scale and is about 160mm long that makes it suitable for younger players with smaller hands to use.
The little size of the gun does not impede it & it's actually quite punchy power wise as on testing this was shooting at around 235FPS, we would recommend you to use 0.12g bb pellets with it but you could use 0.20g if you wanted, as typically it takes 6mm pellets. Accuracy wise it's decent if you use the correct pellets, if you find pellets veering up you need to use more heavy bb pellets with it.
There are some realistic features on this gun like the iron sights, slide cocking serrations, textured grip and magazine release, etc., and is also good for a prop or display use but remember it's not full scale.
There is a Push button mag/clip release to remove the plastic magazine that holds about 12 BB’s, The G2 along with the other metal range from galaxy has no safety catch, but are its manually cocked this does not really create much of a problem.
As its small in size, you could put it in a small pocket as a backup weapon; it also fits larger hands nicely even if you have bigger fingers.
If you're looking for fun pistols for target practice, plinking or frightening vermin away this could be for you.
This low-cost bb gun pistol comes with a small pack of about 30 bb pellets and is packed in a polystyrene box with a picture cover.
No Manuel or instructions come with this gun but its very simple to use.

This is good for it's price, it's cheap, heavy and nice sounding. The only thing I'd say I don't like is how much the barrel moves around.

This is the second time I have bought this gun and both times, the magazine catch has broken after only a few days of use. It doesn’t hold the mag in at all and is quite inaccurate when shot from 15+ metres. Only pro is that it feels good in the hand

This item is well made and really looks the part......also has a good weight to it, which is nice.....a lot better than the cheaper plastic guns. I'm really pleased.
BB guns 4 Less are superb to deal with and I had the item in my hands within 2 days from ordering.....Brilliant!
I couldn't ask for better quality at this price point nor better service.......a big WELL DONE! -

Turned up in sealed box and was scratched on the under side that was protected by the packaging. Used 0.12g in it and it is not very accurate at all and shoots very up on where you aim, I will try 0.20g at some point to see if this can be improved. Overall good power and not a bad feel when shooting it, decent weight and for the price I paid, it’s ok for just some shooting to calm the mind.

So this is advertised as a metal gun, but while most of the exterior may be metal the internal mechanism is all plastic. The trouble is that the extra they have spent on the metal bits has resulted in the internals being less resilient than those of similarly priced plastic bodied guns.
While the gun feels good in the hand and is powerful for the money it isn't consistent when it comes to accuracy. So yes it's fun for back yard battles among friends, but it's frustrating for target shooting. The biggest downside however is that plactic mechanism. It wasn't long before it had worn so badly that is would sometimes fire before a finger got near the trigger and not much later it wouldn't cock properly at all and would fire as soon as it was cocked. Stripping the gun and taking a file to the workings got it back in shape, but before too long it had gone again.
In short this is a nice toy metal gun for the kids, but not something I'd recommend if you want to do any shooting even for fun. -

Accuracy is OK if you pull loader back too many times when already loaded the gun will jam

I eventually decided to get this Galaxy G2 mainly as it looked good and was in stock.
Ordering was easy and delivery time was very fast.
We made a paper target and stood up a few items to shoot at in the garden and had hours of fun!
This was our first time buying or shooting a BB gun so I haven’t got anything to compare it to but I think I made a great choice.
The gun looks nice, feels reasuringly heavy, feels solid, looks well made and is a perfect size for my 10 & 12 year old and me.
It shoots straight even in the wind and is much more powerful than I thought it would be. We were denting drink cans, shooting through layers of cardboard and ruining apples.
I would have given it 4 stars because of the flimsy magazine (which fits 10 pellets rather than the 12 advertised) and It did jam a few times (which I think was because my 10yr old finds it hard to pull back the slide to cock it and doesn’t pull it all the way back), but it cost under £10 which is great value for this gun so 5 stars given.
An excellent choice I think for someone buying their first BB gun!
