GARDEN QUALITY – BEGINNER GUN/”FOR FUN” NOT SKIRMISHABLE

DESCRIPTION:

The Mp-40 SMG was designed by Nazi Germany and was used heavily during WW2. At its time, it
was one of the best SMG’s available and featured modern design elements – It heavily influenced
the design of the US M3 “Grease Gun” and also inspired elements of the British Sten. While the
gun was overall fairly reliable, its major setback was its folding stock; the stock was a good design
(and a very similar design is used on the AK-U series) however it was not made strong enough to
withstand the long periods of time that a typical MP40 would be used for. After the war MP40’s
found their way into the hands of guerrilla groups like the VC, thus leading to the MP40 seeing
combat in the Vietnam War.

THIS IS NOT SKIRMISH GRADE. This weapon is made from relatively cheap plastic and will not stand
up to the wear and tear of heavy use in a skirmish. This being said, it will survive perfectly fine when
used in the garden to shoot targets or could prove useful as a simple “backyard battle” gun. As with
some of the other more obscure cheap springers, there are not a great deal of intermediate MP40’s
on the market meaning this makes a good “first gun” for someone who thinks they might like to
follow the path of using an MP40 as their “proper” skirmish weapon. Even though this is a cheap and
comparatively low build quality weapon, it still is the right proportions and will feel similar enough to
a proper skirmish grade MP40 for you to get used to magazine size and storage and what position to
shoot in.

As with a lot of the “cheaper” ww2 replicas, this comes with a section of RIS added to the upper
receiver – naturally this would not have been an original feature but for the price historic accuracy
does not really need to be played upon. The rail section allows you to add any cheap red-dot or
torch, laser etc. that you feel like using; although please do bear in mind a proper MP40 would not
have this so don’t get too used to the feel of a scope on the weapon if you plan to follow the MP40
though to your skirmish grade weapon.

This item is very light and is ideal for a display or to be wall mounted. Not sure if it would stand up to any hardcore gaming as its very weak plastic.

The BBguns4Less video review shows this capable of 270fps, so that's nice to know.

Nice build; plastic extendable stock is a nice feature. Magazine holds more BBs than what would be required in a spring fired rifle, but that's the perk of the model.
The front barrel attachments seem to have a tendency to come loose after frequent/rapid firing, but that's the only fault that I have seen.

Description states that it has an adjustable hop-up, but I have little idea if that's true.
