The CM512 one of a new series of Starter Skirmisher rifles one of the most popular manufacturers in the airsoft world called CYMA.

This new line of rifles (CM5 Series) has made big waves in the airsoft world, and are now noted to be one of the best starter M4's on the market, and it would be hard for us to disagree with that statement.

If you don't know anything about airsoft guns, as the rifle is electric powered (AEG) meaning it works via the included rechargeable battery unit and fires automatically when you pull the guns trigger on semi-auto, or hold the trigger down on full auto and you're going to get around 8-10 shots per second with this weapon. Unlike a spring bb gun that you will need to manually "cock" before each shot.

The CM512 M4 rifle has some of the stuff as some other guns costing much more offer like a metal gearbox and other mechanical parts etc, but at a low price to suit airsoft beginners.

This CYMA CM512's metal gearbox that provides around 360FPS of awesome shooting power, it also has other good quality mechanical parts inside the rifle, making this cyma CM512 replica as effective on the airsoft battleground as some of its more costly counterparts.

Just moments after taking the replica out of the box you will notice the very precise fitting of the guns individual elements as there are no loose parts or gaps, even in some of the key places such as the gun stock or front end/front grip that can be present in many other airsoft replicas.

This set also includes a collection of the most necessary accessories such as the battery & charger; the weapon is ready for action out of the box with no tuning needed.

Most of the guns principal components are made from polymer. These parts include the rifles receiver, the handguard, the stock & flip up iron sight.

The outer barrel was made from Zinc alloy, the magazine case and bolt replica – from metal.

Despite a largely polymer structure, one will not notice any “squeaking” sounds from the material as sometimes found in some of the cheap airsoft guns.

The CM512 is equipped with an Extra Long handguard that features a full set of 22mm, RIS rails, that allow you to attachment of a vast collection of extra accessories like optical sights, grips, tactical flashlights, etc.

The replica has a Navy style telescopic stock with seven adjustable expansion points and comes with an anti-slip finish as well as foldable flip-up iron sight. The inner barrel has a 14mm, left-hand thread finish.

The access to hop-up regulation is gained in a traditional way, after pulling back the bolt. On the left side of the body is located the fire mode selector/safety.

At the core of this airsoft replica is a reliable, v.2 type metal gearbox with a set of steel gears, warped spring guide and 7mm bearings, That enables for more or less 360 FPS muzzle velocity, straight out of the box.

The difference with this rifle is that the guns spring is the correct power to comply with the new UK law,(unlike some other imports) so you won't have to get this gun downgraded.

Also, the two-tone colour is made of blue plastic and not painted like every other company meaning the paint won't scratch off after using it. And lastly, it comes with a Rhos Certified UK Mains Charger and rechargeable battery pack (with others you will get an EU Charger meaning you will need to buy an adapter or a new charger.)

As this bb gun is two-toned, there is no need for a ukara membership to buy it.

To round up The CYMA CM512 performs excellently in the field with a reasonable rate of fire, range, power and accuracy, that is ample enough to keep up with much more expensive guns, and with the metal gearbox, it's also going to be pretty reliable.
