Description.
The Ares Red Dot Sight for the L85A3 4x Scope (SC-016) is a compact secondary optic designed to sit neatly on top of the iconic L85A3 SUSAT-style scope. In practical terms, it gives your airsoft gun a quick-transition aiming solution—use the 4x scope for longer sightlines, then simply tilt slightly to pick up the red dot when the action gets close and fast. The red dot itself provides a clear illuminated aiming point that’s far quicker to align than traditional iron sights, especially during dynamic CQB pushes or when clearing tight woodland paths.
In skirmishes, this sort of dual-optic setup is surprisingly useful. Many airsofters running L85 platforms find the fixed 4x magnification excellent for spotting movement across open ground, but a little slow when enemies appear suddenly within 10–20 metres.
