DESCRIPTION:
The M4 is a relatively modern rifle, with the current US Army version (the M4A1) being
introduced in 1994, It is a reliable and effective carbine that is IDEAL as a standard service
rifle as it is lightweight, accurate, and can be very quickly modified to suit any role on the
battlefield - The M4/16 platform can be used to make DMR's, Snipers, Rifles, Carbines.. etc.
The iconic shape of the M4 has become the symbol for the modern day assault rifle, it has
featured in almost every war game including the likes of Battlefield and Call Of Duty. It is
not only an immensely popular service weapon but also one of the bestselling sporting rifles
(The AR15 version) ever made.
Even with the plethora of different platforms available, the M4 remains one of the most popular
airsoft weapons produced with countless different variants being made by numerous different
companies - The internals are mostly standardised and parts are typically cross-compatible
between manufacturers, making it incredibly easy to make your own personal weapon based
on your own personal requirements.
This version of the Bulldog M4 is a shortened “Naval” version coming with a crane stock, a
cut-down rear sight, and a mid-length barrel (Possibly 12.5” if my guess is correct). As with
the other Bulldog M4 range, this is ideal for someone looking to choose a first weapon either
for backyard use or for use in their first few skirmishes – while not QUITE as good as the G&G
combat machine line, Bulldog weapons offer incredibly good value for money and preform just
as well as any other starter AEG’s while being significantly cheaper.
The body is made from plastic which gives the rifle a lightweight feel while still being sturdy, the
plastic used is solid and feels like it will easily withstand the general bumps and knocks of everyday
skirmish usage however do try and avoid falling directly onto the rifle or whacking it off trees as it
is NOT built to the same grade as the £300+ rifles.
Being a standard airsoft M4 the Bulldog M4 can be very easily configured to suit you as a player,
however – as this is beginner rifle the barrel is not removed in the same way it might be on a
more expensive, more realistic weapon; to simplify I have made a list of things you CAN do and
those you CANNOT;
Cant’s -
The barrel in this is a singular piece so changing it for a different “outer” will be very difficult,
inner barrels can be swapped as normal, but the outer section is all one piece.
Fake Gas Blocks – because of the above, the front sight is fixed to the barrel meaning you cannot
change it for a smooth style gas block.
Handguard – the handguard will need to stay either as-is, or swapped for something that can
accommodate a battery as this is where the battery is located on this weapon.
Can’s -
The pistol grip can be swapped out for almost any M4 compatible grip; generally anything that
will work on a combat machine will work on this with no trouble.
Stock – The stock can be changed for any airsoft M4 stock on the market provided it fits onto a
buffer tube; crane stocks, CTR stocks, anything of the like.
Rear Sight – The sight can be removed and replaced with any sight that fits a 20mm
rail, be aware you should try and line the dot of a red-dot with the front sight.
Magazines – This will be compatible with near all Mid-Caps, and High-Caps available for M4’s
Internals – The gearbox can be fully stripped and rebuilt with no problems, it uses a standard
V2 box so parts are incredibly easy to come by from almost any source.
(COMPATABLE WITH MOSTLY ALL STANAG MAGAZINES - CAN ALSO USE P/EMAGS!)
